Misty Douglass, HHP is a nationally certified Holistic Health Practitioner and received her certification from the School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach, CA. She has been practicing massage for over 4 years. Although she utilizes many different modalities, she specializes in Eastern based massage, such as Tui Na, Eastern Deep Tissue and Zen Touch.
Her primary focus is with therapeutic massage in order to deal with various types of musculoskeletal pain. Tendinitis, Carpal Tunnel, TMJ syndrome and fibromyalgia are just some of the conditions she works with. However, these symptoms are just a small part of a person’s total health condition (mind/body/spirit). Eastern philosophy treats the body as a whole; physical, emotional, and spiritual influences are considered as factors integral to the healing process.
Eastern therapies are based on thousands of years of experience and positive results, which is why Misty loves the modalities she has chosen to work with. She hopes to introduce this bodywork to all people who desire positive change in their condition, situation…life. |
